Sustainability Statement

At Cranswick Garden Centre and #STOVE cafebistro, we prioritise environmental responsibility as a fundamental pillar of our sustainability efforts. We are committed to reducing our carbon footprint by implementing eco-friendly practices throughout our operations. This includes using energy-efficient equipment, sourcing sustainable ingredients, minimising water consumption, and promoting recycling and waste reduction. We understand the importance of responsible waste management and strive to ensure that our packaging and coffee grounds are disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner.

Renewable Energy

The shop & cafebistro are provided with power from our on-site bank of 66 solar panels and wherever possible we use as energy efficient machines and lighting as is available to cut the reliance on unrenewable power sources, Excess energy from our solar panels can even be supplied back into the national grid.

Water Reclamation

Boasting a sizable water storage and reclamation system we collect and store rainwater for use across the site where possible to reduce the demand on mains water supply.

Waste Management

We are dedicated to not only reduce the amount of waste in the first place but also recycle as much as possible. We never use plastic carrier bags, and receipts are only printed upon request to reduce paper waste. Waste is sorted into multiple recyling bins across the site to reduce the amount that ends up in landfill.
